Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer from Camden, Arkansas, who grew up in Las Vegas. He first made his name as a songwriter with Mario's 2004 hit "Let Me Love You", which helped him land a deal with Def Jam. His debut album, In My Own Words (2006), opened at number one on the Billboard 200 behind the hit "So Sick", and his second, Because of You (2007), won the Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album. He later reached dance floors worldwide through collaborations with Pitbull, including "Give Me Everything" and "Time of Our Lives".
